Fish Hoek Beach. International "Blue Flag" status, with water warm enough to swim in
is just a 12 minute walk from Leo's Den.
Welcome to Leo’s Den
Leo’s Den is a private relaxed and safe haven in the old fishing village of Fish Hoek on the South Peninsula of Cape Town. Super convenient for exploring Kalk Bay, Simonstown, Nordhoek, Penguins, Cape Ostrich Farm and Cape Point. Fish Hoek beach is a certified Blue Flag beach giving it international standing. It benefits from the warm Indian Ocean current making it perfect for swimming and all water adventures. The mountains of the Fish Hoek valley offer great hikes and exploring opportunities.
Leo’s Den was opened in Dec 2016 in a fully renovated private home. There are four guest rooms each overlooking the large outdoor pool.
THE BLUE ROOM has a double bed, entrance to the pool and a full en-suite for a room rate of R750 per night has been lowered to R550 per night for 2020.
THE BROWN ROOM has a double bed, plenty of built in closet space and its own entrance to the pool. There is a large shared bathroom. The room rate of R650 has been lowered top R550 per night for 2020.
THE TWIN CABIN is our budget option with twin beds, small built in closet and table. It’s a little gem of a hide away. There is an outside eating area right at the pools edge. You share the main bathroom in the house as well as an outside toilet and our ‘naughty’ outdoor shower. The rate is R500 per night for the cabin.
THE SINGLE CABIN is our tiny nook perfect for one person. Single bed, desk, place to hang your clothes. You use the bathroom in the main house as well as an additional outside toilet and basin. The rate is only R400 even in high season.
ALL ROOMS are at the pools edge with use of the whole house, kitchen, lounge, and Braai area. All rooms have tea and coffee facilities and free wifi. Breakfast can be ordered for only R50 per person.

All guests are welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen and socialize in the lounge or enjoy the privacy of your room. To respect the peacefulness of other guests, there are no TV’s in guest rooms.
Each room has Tea and Coffee, fresh ‘posh coffee’ is brewed every morning in the kitchen for all to enjoy. You will find complimentary shampoo and shower gel in each bathroom.
Breakfast A healthy filling breakfast can be ordered each day for a small charge of R50 per person. It includes yogurt, fruit, juice, cereal, toast, free range eggs and if cook is in the mood, fresh baked muffins.
Your host, Antony, is a certified tour guide and is available for ‘Any Tour, Any Time, Anywhere’. Airport pick ups can be arranged for a R450 fee. Staff are on site and able to assist you as needed
Leo’s Den is a pet friendly place. Our rescue dog Leo lives here with his new sister Holly and playmates are welcome.
We offer a relaxed home from home where you can unwind in peace and remember ‘If you’re not barefoot, you’re over dressed’.
